Paperwork
On your first visit you will be greeted warmly by our front desk staff and given some paperwork to complete. This enables you to give a preliminary description of your health problems and your past history. We will be happy to assist you in this process if necessary, especially if you speak Portuguese as one of our staff members speaks fluent Portuguese.
Consultation
We will also ask you at this time if you have an insurance card so that we can make a copy of it. You will then be taken back into an exam room to have a consultation with Dr. Bernius (Chiropractor). He will discuss your complete history of past and present health problems. Following this discussion, a complete examination consisting of orthopedic, neurological, spinal tests and, x-rays if necessary, will be performed. Therapy will be done if needed.
You will then make an appointment for your second visit, preferably the next day, which is called a Report of Findings. Dr. Bernius (Chiropractor) will then go over the results of your x-rays and tests and explain what is wrong and what can be done to help you.
We Explain Everything First
The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.
